Who We Are

Data We Collect
- Email address — used solely for account creation and authentication.
- Messages — the content you submit. Messages are shared privately in the feed. They are not linked to your identity for other users.
What We Do Not Collect
We do not track your location, build a social graph, or collect any personally identifiable information beyond your email address. There are no analytics trackers or fingerprinting scripts.
AI-Powered Content Moderation
All messages are reviewed by an automated moderation system before being published. This is done to enforce community guidelines and prevent harmful content.
- What data is sent: Only the text content of your message. No personal information (such as your email address, account ID, or device information) is included.
- Who it is sent to: OpenAI, via their Moderation API.
- Purpose: The message text is classified for categories such as hate speech, harassment, violence, and self-harm. If flagged, the message is rejected and not published.
- Data retention: OpenAI's Moderation API has a zero data retention policy — message content is not stored by OpenAI after processing.
- User consent: You are asked to agree to this processing before sending your first message in the app.
AI-Powered Personal Insights (Premium)
Premium users can request AI-generated personal insights based on their own messages. This feature is opt-in and runs only when the user explicitly taps "Generate Insights."
- What data is sent: Only the text of the user's own messages within the selected period. No other personal information (email, account ID, device data) is included.
- Who it is sent to: OpenAI, via their Chat Completions API (model: gpt-4o-mini).
- Purpose: To produce a personal report of the user's themes, moods, and reflections, plus a community comparison generated from pre-aggregated counts (no individual messages of others are ever sent).
- Visibility: Insights are shown only to the user who requested them. They are stored securely and never shared.
- Data retention: OpenAI does not retain Chat Completions API inputs for model training by default.
- User consent: You are asked to agree to this processing before generating your first personal insights report.
- Frequency: Limited to a small number of generations per month per user to prevent misuse and control costs.
Third-Party Services
- OpenAI — provides content moderation via their Moderation API. Only message text is sent; no personal data is shared. See OpenAI Privacy Policy.
- Google AdSense — serves ads on the web version of Voyd.
- Google AdMob — serves ads in the mobile app.
- RevenueCat — manages premium subscriptions. RevenueCat processes purchase data from the App Store and Google Play.
These services may collect their own data as described in their respective privacy policies.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen within the app. Upon deletion, your email, messages, and all related data are permanently removed.
